Don't Look Now Daphne du Maurier

I am a fan of Daphne du Maurie. Her books such as "Jamaica Inn" and "Rebecca" are fascinating. Both were made into movies. I saw them.

Her English is not complicated or not elaborate like Dickens. Simple and easy. The most attractive factor of her story is mystery. "Don' Look Now" makes the reader turn the pages by giving intriguing mysteries one after another.

Mysterious occurences are everywhere: John sees Laura and the myserious sisters on board the boat; the blind sister predicts mysterious consequences; the murder;  and the child (a dwarf).

The ending where John dies is not balanced with the page-turning enthusiasm. However, this is an excellent story. I enjoyed it very much.
