This is a very funny story. It describes Blumfeld’s extreme annoyance caused by the two incontrollable balls and the trouble making assistants. The roll of the balls and that of the assistants are similar. Blumfled cannot control them. Or rather he is controlled by them. They constantly give troubles to him.
Kafka’s writing is skillful: 1. The description is vivid. You can visualize the scnens. 2. Kafka uses such tribial things as balls and a bloom so well that the reader is instantly involved in the story.
I don’t know the theme of the story, but actually our world is surrounded by tribial but uncontrollable things.
